FASHION CONTEST LAUNCHES SDA Bocconi

Creativity, commitment and insight are some basic ingredients to launch a new product or format in fashion and who has a good idea in the head can now add insight and expertise in the field in the second edition of the Business Idea Competition in Fashion: starting up a New Company of SDA Bocconi. Up for grabs free participation for the 15 with the most innovative ideas and financially feasible in an intensive course in which SDA learn all the secrets of strategy and branding to launch their own business in fashion, luxury and design.

The competition closes on May 30 and the challenge is open to individuals or teams of up to three members from around the world. Participants must submit a detailed business plan which must include a detailed description of the idea, project development and financing plan. The proposal to be submitted online, must include the curriculum of the participants and may also contain a short video presentation.

"After the positive experience of last year we expect to get feedback even more this year. The desire for novelty and innovation in the sector continues to be strong and we expect to be able to give voice and managerial tools for budding entrepreneurs who want to get to the test, "says Elizabeth Marafioti, professor and coordinator of the strategy of the SDA initiative.

"The course the winners will sharpen their business idea by comparing it with the teachers and participants of the SDA Bocconi. Thanks to the managerial tools that aspire to acquire will try to put their ideas into professional documents with which to propose their idea to potential investors ".

Winners will be selected by two faculty members of the SDA and a professional private equity. The top 15 winners will participate in a free crash course on 12 and 13 July at SDA Bocconi. The training will consist of a course of lectures in the faculty of the Master of fashion, design and management experience of SDA, discussions of case studies and testimonials from industry leaders to understand the trends and key factors of the industry.

The goal is to provide all the tools of branding and business planning necessary to launch an entrepreneurial venture. All participants will receive the competition that an evaluation of your business idea from the team selection and helpful comments to improve the project. The initiative is part of the Summer School organized by the Milan Municipality of Milan, which involves a number of universities and schools in Milan in organizing courses of study and training for students from around the world during the summer.

Also within this initiative, SDA will launch in early May as part of a business game industry with fine food and beverage as a prize for participation in a course on the industry declined haute cuisine.
