Charity & fashion: Eastpak with emerging designers, Democratic Wear & Coin

Continue running charity brand Eastpack, whose desire to do good seems unstoppable. Following the success of the project charityDemocratic Wear, selling charity organized in collaboration with the boutique Coin, the Eastpack is organizing a new special rooms, but this time for AMREF and the construction of new water wells for the African, the all working hand in hand with major fashion designers, writers lifestyle and home design.

It was in 1976 when student Mark Goldman asked his father to produce a line of backpacks from school and since then the brand Eastpack became a must-to-have intended, for the most part, to target a young, dynamic, aged 15 to 20 years. But not only. And 'in fact, news of recent times that the monarchy has decided to give shape to collections ever more elaborate and signed by the artists of fashion so as to reach a share of the market demands.

And so, after a series by Raf Simons, another by Eley Kishimoto, and then Rick Owens, Christopher Shannon, Gaspard Yurkievich and Kris Van Assche, Eastpack wanted to do more: to unite the classic and iconic "Padded Pak'r "nineties with a special initiative and charity, the sale of special" Democratic Wear "by the grand success.

But that was not the first! Let's go back to 2009 with the memory and the sponsorship of "Write For Food" (later also to '2010 edition and has seen the Padded Pak'r absolute star "dressed" by the most important Italian writer and street artist): backpacks -works were auctioned off for non-profit organization "...

Handicap on the head!", an association that works on behalf of the intellectually disabled. And in 2011? The idea has become even bigger and involved 77 world-renowned artists including painters, sculptors, designers, street artists and writers, musicians, poets, bloggers and television personalities: Padded Pak'r together have transformed into works of 'art for "Eastpak Artist Studio", the international creative workshop (Eastpak Artist Studio is then left for a trip between major European cities for a traveling exhibition of bags sold at auction on Ebay, for certain selected local non-profit organization).

The number of additions to the decor of the limited edition, then, that began in April 2010 with the collaboration with Quinze & Milan, was continued to the last Milan Design Week, in collaboration with Antoine Peters, who 's opportunity presented Culb Sofa 01 and a limited edition of backpacks and bags for Eastpack now arrange them in two stores are Treesse Milan (via Turin and Milan door).

But not only. Peters then tested the creativity of some students of fashion and design in Milan, play in the act of customizing the ever iconic Padded Pak'r.
