A COLLECTION OF THE ROMA ALFONSI CARUSO

Over ten years ago, the fashion journalist Maria Vittoria Alfonsi Caruso donated to the Museum Boncompagni Ludovisi Rome's rich collection of dresses and accessories made up of more than eighty pieces, mirrors the evolution of taste in fashion in Italy: from high couture fifties, witnessed by clothing in the collection of Joseph Cometti, Ennio Castellani, Adriana Castelli, Franca Lainati, high fashion of the sixties, seventies and eighties signed by Enzo, Germana Marucelli, Valentino, Sarli, Raniero Gattinoni and fashionable ready Giorgio Armani, Gianni Versace, Gianfranco Ferre, Roberta di Camerino, Krizia, Laura Biagiotti, Fendi.

To witness the work of journalist Alfonsi, marked by numerous interviews and articles written since the fifties, television sections, books on the fashion they have gathered a lot of interest, prizes and awards, the Museum exhibits Boncompagni, now at 25 September, a rich array of documentary (historical photos, articles, television, books written by Maria Vittoria Alfonsi on the world of Italian fashion industry in particular) and a choice of items from his donation to the museum, consisting of about 50 between clothes and accessories.

The exhibition is accompanied by a monograph on the journalist, edited by Mariastella Margozzi and presentations Beppe Modenese and Laura Biagiotti, which are collected evidence of his long career, vintage photographs of the actress with important figures in the fashion world , the story of his collection of clothing, as well as an interesting interview-biography.

The exhibition is presented today, at 12, Boncompagni Ludovisi Museum by Maria Vittoria Alfonsi Caruso, along with Giovanni Rana, who supports the exhibition industry together with the Superintendence of the National Gallery of Modern Art.
