5 paradoxes of Oscar

The Academy Awards, you know, have their own inscrutable rules. Following the announcement of Oscar nominations, the usual slew of reviews angry or disappointed (fans and players) has filled the pages of newspapers. Hence the 5 paradoxes born (we think) after the ruling. Shocking. Cher will not win for best song (but could do Gwyneth Paltrow).

Mrs. Cher all voiced his displeasure on Twitter: "We have not received a nomination for best song! Yuck! Diane's song (for the film Burlesque, ed) is beautiful! It is difficult to understand how to win an Oscar. " At the same time we realize that in contention appears Coming Home, sung by Gwyneth Paltrow in his film Country Strong.

Sorry, Cher, you're right, there must be clearly a mistake. Comforting. There will be African-American actors to collect figurines (but at least the young talent). Not died down (mainly the U.S.) the controversy surrounding the lack of African-American players among the nominees (Halle Berry in Frankie and Alice was at least nominated for a Golden Globe).

Spike Lee said sadly (referring also to the method of casting producers in Hollywood): "It's always worse for African-American actors: for all these films nominated no color has been taken into consideration." If the Academy will transfer to a flicker of progressivism could win the two youngest players ever to pick up a statuette for Best Actor starring: Jennifer Lawrence, 20, in Winter's Bone and Jesse Eisenberg, 27 years, The Social network.

Gloating. The first nice thing about Paolo Virzi has not reached the final (but there is a niche for I Am Love). When it came time to decide on the nominees for best foreign film in Italy the rose Virzi's film, much to the chagrin of Luca Guadagnino (which did not hesitate to make it known publicly in the columns of the newspapers).

His film with Tilda Swinton, in fact, has had some success, both sales and critics, the United States. Result? I Am Love was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Foreign Language Film Academy and at least one thought in category costumes (designed by Raf Simons for Jil Sander), and the first nice thing, as already announced, has not entered into cinquina final.

Equal. Paul Giamatti and Rosamund Pike have been excluded (as well as Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie). The version of Barney gets only one nomination for makeup. Disappointed? The performance of the two protagonists might have merited a note of approval from the Academy (Giamatti won the Golden Globe).

Fortunately, however, no one in a fever "celebrity" is thought to nominate anything one of the most sensational flop film of the year: The Tourist. Touchy. Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes will boycott the ceremony for the imitation of Anne Hathaway Mrs. Cruise. What should Mila Kunis, Andrew Garfield, Julianne Moore, Ben Affleck and all the excluded? Last major film of either spouse Cruise? Perhaps it's to thank the Academy if you will deliver the invitations at home.
