THE NEW FRENCH FASHION IN MILAN

The French textile industry is experiencing a significant renaissance, with industrial production, which maintains its pace of growth since 2009 and an increase of 5% in the period January to October 2010. I am therefore 23 exhibitors, including 14 of the Rhône-Alpes Region, will participate in the collective French 10th at the next edition of Moda In / Milano Unica, to be held February 15 to 17 next.

The French participation at the show will be organized by Espace Textile, in collaboration with France Tisslaine Promotion with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and the Region Rhône-Alpes. Despite some constraints still strong (raw material costs, weak market recovery), the French fashion industry adapts its offer to the increasingly segmented markets, with attention to consumer behavior.

As for trends, producers from across the Alps offer an adaptation of elements inspired by nature, which take different forms. So we find the world marked by metamorphosis of plants and animals, obsession with ultra-light, or an updating of products rich in history with an extreme emotion.

For wool and cotton, color and light are inserted into the tissues to communicate optimism and vitality. This was the watchword for the game of the harmonies in the collections of French manufacturers of tissue, in a constant search for sustainable building.
