Yohji Yamamoto: This is my dream

He is the Japanese fashion icon par excellence, reserved character and is little accustomed to various interviews and presenteeism. "She" was born in 2002 and is one of eight lines supervised by him, as well as the perfect symbol of innovation is so dear to the made in japan. It's definitely a novelty then that Yohji Yamamoto has "granted" for a video that it looks to be really interesting.

Summer 2009, Tokyo, the final preparations are underway for the construction of Y-3 Spring / Summer collection 2010. Then he will fly to New York and will finalize the finishing touches on pre-show: all this and more in This is my dream, the first documentary starring the Japanese designer struggling with his team working to develop an entire collection Y-3, the line created in collaboration with Adidas, from casting to the styling, the making of the show to public relations activities.

The director of the docu-film is Theodore Stanley (famous for making documentaries, the director of photography of Bruce Weber and Chiara Clemente) that the studio Harbor Film Company was honored for a few months to live side by side with even getting the artist to capture Yamamoto while playing the guitar, gives a cigarette break or imparts philosophical musings to his staff.

"The project presented some challenges, since Yohji maintained its confidence from the very beginning of his career despite being one of the most interesting artists and designers of our time. It was necessary to enter this world by foreign observers and try to represent them with images and words that offered an intimate look sull'interiorità of this man, 'said the director.

We just have to wait for the trailer that will arrive in mid-March, pending let's enjoy the last show Y-3 Fall / Winter 2011/2012 who marched a few weeks ago in New York.
