Fashion and Us: Meeting on Independent Fashion in Bologna

An interesting topic today, we suggest you Trend of Style with pleasure, and certainly in time will collect more signatures. Thursday, May 5 was held in Bologna the second round of the cycle Spring Summer 2011 - Three incontrisulla fashion in Santa Cristina, Italy organized by the Women's Library in Bologna on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the birth of Italian fashion.

The growing phenomenon of independent fashion design was the protagonist of this second meeting led by Alessandra Vaccari, fashion lecturer and researcher at the University of Bologna in dialogue with six Italian companies to independent fashion: Fabric Division (Linda Crivello and Henry Assirelli) , Pomelo (Pamela Casadio) Agharti (Silvia Galli), Dumbledore (Francesca Iaconisi), Fish Tyres (Lucia Prince), The Giraffe (Valeria Sacenti).

The concept of independent fashion "is a phenomenon that is gaining ground in Italy, although at the moment is more prevalent abroad, particularly in countries with an institutional fashion far less entrenched. Alessandra Vaccari said on the occasion of this meeting, as an independent is not a rebellion, but an alternative to a location where not everyone can identify.

Independent research is primarily personal style, beauty, fashion made by individuals who choose to follow their creativity, their idea of fashion in a more concrete paths decoupled from market demand. Independent is thus a form of self-entrepreneurs often partly funded by itself, with more limited resources and small-scale production, craft, significantly affecting the return to the material value of the suit, the creations of the same fashion.

In Bologna, there were five independent realities: Pomelo, T-Fish, Fish, Tyres, Fabric Division, Dumbledore, The Giraffes, Agharta, which contributed to the discussion by outlining their own experiences. Have affected various aspects of the path and the work of each of them: from a single piece, interweaving between fashion and art, from a personal relationship with customers looking for new sales channels.

These realities are trying to share and make the system independent of order out of isolation. In the Gallery you will find a glimpse of the collections of these artists of the nascent strand. If you are interested in the theme of the 20-21 and May 22 in Faenza, Palazzo delle Esposizioni will be held on WebelieveinstylePop Up Shop | other visions of style: temporary shop that sees different realities of young Italian artists, including A-Lab and Fabric Division exhibit their creations for sale at the Festival of Contemporary Art 2001.
