Miriam Ponsa, the collection at the 2011/12

With a collection entitled Les Bugaderes Miriam Ponsa submit its proposal for the autumn / winter 2011/12 to 080 in Barcelona. Inspired by the women who washed clothes in the river that were used in washing collective in the early twentieth century. Tissue stained with drops of water and latex getting a wet, cotton wool, washed and used hard effect.

A pallete of colors in which predominates the blue, green, gray and black. Volumes exaggerated, oversized coats and jackets and layered look. The atmosphere of the parade reproduced ancient places, sad spaces in which they spent their days working women of the past. A collection totally out of the future trend of winter season in which the sole inspiration is the instinct of the designer.

Miriam Ponsa working with the materials using various techniques some of them entirely by hand as in the old days. Miriam comes from a family with an ancient tradition of textile manufacturing dating back to the nineteenth century.
