CARMINA CAMPUS, THE ART OF REUSE

Carmina Campus, a brand created in late 2006 by Ilaria Venturini Fendi, is founded on the principle of reuse. Strength of the brand is a collection of bags created in cooperation with the 'Ethical Fashion Programme of ITC (International Trade Centre), the WHO and UN agencies operating in Africa by creating employment opportunities for marginalized communities of women microentrepreneurs.

Time and passion are dedicated to each piece and the card provides a precise identikit on materials used and hours of work. Use only existing materials, or discarded because the second life out of the loop production / consumption, is the philosophy of the company, a direct consequence of a different way of life chosen by Ilaria Venturini Fendi for dealing with a creative project to support the current three crisis, economic, social and environmental.

Carmina Campus recycling is not considered a limit to the creativity, interprets it rather as a challenge to win thanks to ideas, processes and a valuable way to communicate and offer self-design and product. Carmina Campus is a workshop of work that makes handbags, accessories, furnishings and design.

He does it in a thousand different ways, but always using virgin materials considered waste or restoring new life and functions to textiles, metals, plastics, wood ... Not used in industrial processes of conversion that would, for example, use of chemical agents. Each type of material is considered, examined, handled and processed by Italian hands as if it were the most rare and precious.

You forgot his original post, and in the reuse that piece of shade garden, the old embroidered pillow, the zipper found in a stock fund, acquire a dignity that did not know you had.
