Jewels on show

More than 300 pieces of jewelry that tell 100 years of gold: the exhibition Set in Style: The jewels by Van Cleef & Arpels, which opens today at the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum in New York. In a scene edited dall'archietto and designer Patrick Jouin you find the soul of the house through six themes that encapsulate the essence: innovation (the technique as the Serti Mysterieux, the embedding process was patented in 1933), the metamorphosis (represented by convertible beautiful jewelry, like the stork-winged earrings and pin-tailed), inspirations and exotic nature, couture, and finally the world of celebrity who loved and love the creations Van Cleef & Arpels.

The exhibition was inaugurated by a dinner and private viewing attended by among others, Cate Blanchett, Marisa Berenson, Du Juan, Vera Wang and Jason Wu. How to: Set in Style: The jewels by Van Cleef & Arpels, from February 18 to June 5, 2011, Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum, New York, 2 East 91st St. at Fifth Avenue.
