The two styles of Brazil

It is strange that a country like Brazil there are two weeks dedicated to fashion? People tend to concentrate the buyers and the press all in one place as possible to give greater emphasis to the event. Then, (very) casually, you might think, because in Brazil? The reasons are there, and there will be more and more, as the South American country is considered the hotbed of creativity next venture.

In Brazil, in fact, has just completed the Sao Paulo Fashion Week (from 28 January to 2 February) when you had just performed (11 to 15 January in conjunction with the Man from Milan Fashion Week), the Fashion Rio. We summarize the news of the two events. The five-day Rio de Janeiro is traditionally a low profile version of its older brother sanpaolina, which prides itself on international names Colcci, Alexandre Hercochovitch, Osklen and can rely on the presence of many celebs (Paris Hilton has walked for this year and Triton Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore have been seen - and get booed by photographers because of the three-hour delay - the parade of Colcci, that were used among other things, Gisele Bundchen and Alessandra Ambrosio).

But on closer inspection it seems that, especially with the latest Autumn / Winter 2011/2012 collections dedicated, the designers who participated in the Fashion Rio have tried to come off the increasingly categorization of "specialists in beachwear" (and little else) to earn the right of the runway, requiring strong trend as that of the press, certainly unusual for the winter season, which has pervaded almost all the shows, like the brand name of Andrea Queiroz Marquez via British Colony, Alessa, I sang.

But even with lines and shapes with a strong identity, see under Walter Rodriguez was inspired by the ocean waves for a timeless collection of exceptional elegance and simplicity, or the show of Melk Z-Da, extremely complex volumes and techniques processing. In short, unlike the San Paulo Fashion Week, however, that confirms its leading role, also recognizable by the high number of top that parade now on his fingers (just yesterday, the final day of the event, hosted Herchovitch Lea T, the model transsexual launched by Givenchy, from Brazilian-born but had never marched in his land), Fashion Rio has to defend his role every time.
