Aesthetics and technology in step with fashion

"Rubber Soul - Aesthetics and technology in step with fashion" is the exhibition, curated by Fondazione Pirelli, which houses the Milan Triennale until July 24. The show unfolds as a journey of images and testimonies, in technology, innovation and communication of Pirelli applied to the clothing sector, through more than a century of industrial history and customs, always the sign applied research on the materials and processes.

One way to talk about fashion as fashion history, style and representation of changes in society: advertising sketches of the greatest graphic designers and photographers of the twentieth century (Munari, Mendini, Grignani Scopinich, Noorda, Mulas, etc.), along with multimedia installations.

A mix of history and contemporary, historical images processed with the most innovative multimedia techniques in a series of installations, from the early products of clothing "Wheel," say the evolution of industrial design and materials more technologically sophisticated applied clothing: raincoats, ponchos, swimwear, but also soles and heels, elegant and functional objects.

This is a project created by the Pirelli Foundation. Admission is free and tours are available from Tuesday to Sunday from 10.30 to 20.30, while Thursday and Friday from 10:30 to 23:00. The exhibition takes place at the Triennale in Milan
