Oiseux de Nuit by Kenzo Parfums

On one side lives photographs that capture the night: moving images of cities, countryside, deserts, fragments of color, light and feel (more or less) cast. On the other hand, small external intervention, to reverse the nature of things, details that tell different realities and multi-faceted. This particular value of the double and images that are now on display at the showrooms of Paris Kenzo Parfums.


It's called Oiseux de Nuit and the result is the result of collaboration between the photographs of the fashion house's creative director Patrick Guedj (who is also director and internationally renowned photographer) and street artist Kid Acne, child prodigy of the sort that the age of 12 years ago to live the city walls.

The narrative is not new for contamination Guedj, indeed, even the idea of this exhibition was born in 2003, when 100 night shots made in collaboration with Véronique Durrety had been exposed to the gates of Paris, on Jardins de Luxembourg. "On that occasion, some writers have tagged the images on display, not always with clear artistic purpose, more often as a deliberate act of vandalism.

Guedj has observed long-smeared pictures and realized that in a few cases the tags were able to give added value to the images, enriched with new contents, to tell a new story, "explained the house. From concept and idea was born the concept of tags it seemed a natural continuation of the saga of the poppy or "flower city", so dear to Kenzo fragrances, in a more urban, modern, even transgressive.
